General Practitioner – Your Choice, Your Health
We believe in empowering our residents to make decisions about their healthcare. You have the freedom to choose your own general practitioner who will attend to your medical needs.
Whether you prefer to retain your existing practitioner or seek the services of another, we support your choice. In emergencies or when your doctor is unavailable, our caring nursing staff will promptly act according to instructions received. We strongly recommend having ambulance transport insurance to cover.
GP VISITS
Dr. Conway visits Thursday afternoon.
Dr. Papaelias visits on Tuesday morning.
Dr. Kan visits on a as needs basis.
Dr. Urban visits at various times.
Should any legal guardian or NOK wish to be present during a GP visit, the visiting GPs have requested that, due to a lack of quality discussion time, appointments can be made at their respective surgeries for a comprehensible discussion.
Dentist, Audiology, and Optometry
We arrange regular visits from dentists, audiologists, and optometrists for consenting residents.
While residents cover the costs, we assist in scheduling appointments with health professionals of their choice to support their well-being.
Medication Management
Our care staff assist with medication management to ensure timely and accurate administration.
Residents may self-administer medication with written doctor approval, subject to regular review.
Residents or relatives must arrange transport for medical appointments, with any costs invoiced. Staff will assist where possible.
Holistic Care & Well-Being Services
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapist develops personalised care plans to support your well-being and independence.
Occupational Therapy Assistants work closely with you, incorporating activities that reflect your interests, culture, and needs.
We recognise the value of meaningful activities in enhancing quality of life and overall well-being.
Pharmaceutical Services
Elements Healthcare provides comprehensive pharmaceutical support at Hellenic Aged Care, ensuring medications are accessible and organised. A week’s supply is delivered in convenient sachets, with care staff assisting with morning, mid-day, and evening doses.
Hellenic Community Aged Care covers the cost of sachet packaging, while residents are responsible for prescription costs.
Physiotherapy
Our Physiotherapist develops personalised care plans to meet your specific needs and goals.
Physiotherapy Assistants work closely with you to improve mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
We believe movement plays a vital role in maintaining a high quality of life.
Podiatry
A local Podiatrist visits Hellenic Aged Care regularly to provide quality foot care. Routine and specialised treatments ensure residents receive the attention their feet need.
Low-care residents cover their own costs, while Hellenic Community Aged Care funds services for high-care residents.
