At Hellenic Aged Care we prioritise creating a safe and comfortable physical environment for our residents. Here’s what you need to know about the physical aspects of our facility:
Electrical Equipment – Safety and Convenience
For resident safety, all electrical items must be tested and have a current safety tag.
Permitted items include TVs, computers, radios, and CD/cassette players, with headphones recommended for shared spaces. Internet access can be arranged at reception.
Residents may have small frost-free bar fridges, which families must clean. Microwaves, kettles, heaters, toasters, irons, and electric blankets are not allowed in rooms.
Kitchen facilities are available for tea and coffee. Please consult management before connecting any other electrical devices.

Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures
We regularly conduct fire system tests and training to ensure resident safety.
While participation is not required, residents are informed in advance.
Emergency exit plans, including floor layouts, fire extinguisher locations, and assembly points, are displayed throughout the facility.
Safety
We prioritise a safe environment while supporting residents’ independence.
Residents are encouraged to make informed choices and take appropriate risks, ensuring their safety and that of others.
Security, Valuables, and Money
Each resident has a lockable room for security and privacy.
Residents are responsible for assessing their security needs, and we advise against keeping valuables or jewellery on-site.
Hellenic Aged Care is not liable for any lost items.
Smoking
Hellenic Aged Care is smoke-free indoors, with designated smoking areas outside B Wing in the courtyard.
To ensure resident comfort, please avoid smoking near windows or doors to prevent smoke spread and fire alarm activation.
Telephone
Residents can arrange a private telephone in their room through a service provider, covering all costs for installation, rental, and maintenance.
We recognise the importance of staying connected and support communication needs.
Television
All resident rooms have an aerial point for free-to-air channels.
While pay TV is not provided, free cultural channels in Greek, Italian, and Dutch are available.

Transport Services
Hellenic Aged Care offers transport for independent residents for local shopping trips and outings.
Nearby shopping centres are accessible via Transperth, and taxis can be arranged through reception.
Food Regulations
To maintain resident safety, our kitchen follows strict food preparation, health, and nutritional standards.
Visitors should inform management before bringing outside food to ensure dietary requirements are met.
